To start you off, however, here is an interesting article by Bryan Appleyard in the Sunday Times online, “Why don’t we love science fiction? The British are sniffy about sci-fi, but there is nothing artificial in its ability to convey apprehension about the universe and ourselves” (Dec 2/07), which talks about how we are now living in a science fiction scenario.
Hence the title of this blog.

That was an interesting piece of information about Wells inventing the atom bomb; I hadn’t actually thought about the fact that SF influences science.
